Leonie’s favourite Christmas cookies

Baking Christmas cookies is a wonderful activity – not only for adults, but also for children. If you’d like to bake too, try Leonie’s favourite recipe. It’s quite simple and perfect for letting the little ones help mum and dad with the baking. Ingredients for 1 baking tray:

• 250 g wheat flour
• 125 g sugar
• 125 g soft butter
• ½ pkg vanilla sugar
• 1 egg
• ¼ pkg baking powder

And this is how to prepare the delicious Christmas cookies:

1. Mix all the ingredients into a smooth dough and leave to rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
2. Knead the dough again and roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of approx. 3 to 5 millimetres.
3. Cut out cookies and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for approx. 10 minutes at 175°C.
4. Now the children can let their creativity run wild with sprinkles, colours, and dips.
