Let’s go, spring is awaiting us!

Our favourite spring hikes

Spring is quickly drawing near. Fancy some recommendations?

In these sunny days, we already feel a breath of spring in the air. The flowers are preparing to enchant you with their colours and scent. Bees and birds are ready to start their first flights in the mild spring air. Day by day, the sun regains its power and the days are becoming brighter. We love our scenery all year long – but it’s even more impressive in spring Hiking is now a must! We recommend the following hikes:

Zugspitze view circular trail (10km | 3h 15 min. | 480m elevation gain): This tour starts at Sonnalmbahn bus stop. First, you walk down towards Berwang before heading up Mt Alpkopf. Its summit offers a stunning view of Mt Zugspitze. You continue your hike following the path that leads around the summit until you reach the Berwanger Höhenweg path. At first it leads you to the reservoir and then back to Berwang.

Berwanger Talweg path to Bichlbach (4.8km | 1h | 13m elevation gain): This walk starts right in front of our Hotel Singer. You take the street that leads to the Heimatmuseum of local history and follow the street until you pass the last houses of Tal district in Berwang. At this point, the street becomes a hiking path that leads to Lähner Alm mountain hut (no refreshments available). Walk along Talbach stream and cross the bridge. Continue walking along the stream until you reach Bichlbach. After reaching the village, you can either take the bus to return to Berwang – or walk back.

Our recommendation: Since the Easter holidays are drawing near and will be filled with special menus, chocolate bunnies, and precious moments with our loved ones, we often need to move after all these days of indulgence. The walks that we suggested above are perfect for you if you’d like to take short walks (as they’re not too demanding) in our beautiful nature to help you digest your Easter meal. And, of course, we wish you happy Easter holidays!
