Hiking meets holiday

Calling all hikers!

A relaxing summer hiking to Mittersee from Biberwier is a Tyrolean treat! And cherry on top? A dip in the lake at the end of an active day!

Love hiking in the mountains? Would you like to try a hiking holiday in Tyrol but are new to hiking? The Tyrolean mountain peaks and their quiet routes are certain to astound any nature lover. For the beginner, the route from Biberwier to Lake Mittersee is easier going … so much so that the hiking bug will definitely get you!  Start from the quaint village of Biberwier (just an 18-minute drive from Hotel Singer in Berwang) and take the 4.5-kilometre-long hiking trail. You will be led on an unforgettable journey ending at the stunning Lake Mittersee after about an hour. This lake, located close to the German border, has a quintessential mountain panorama with a charming fisherman’s hut right on its edge. Don’t forget to pack your swimming gear! After your hike exploring this fascinating area, dive into the lake’s cool water for a slash of refreshment. It’s sure to relax your muscles. And afterwards? Lay in the sun at the large sunbathing area and let your children frolic at the children’s playground (conveniently located next to the lake). What a blissful summer day!
