Gerti Singer loves to spend these days in the kitchen, mixing flour with butter, walnuts with sugar and vanilla sugar, until a wonderful smell fills the air. Especially granddaughter Leonie is happy about the sweet treat that her grandma has baked for you with much love. 210g flour
150g butter
75g ground walnuts
50g sugar
1pkg. vanilla sugar

And this is how you make the biscuits:

On a flat surface, combine the flour, room-temperature butter, nuts, sugar, and vanilla sugar to make a dough. Form 4 to 5 rolls from the dough, cut into thin pieces, shape them into croissants, and put them onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for 5 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle with vanilla sugar while still warm and enjoy.
Tip: After 3 to 4 days, Gerti Singer’s Vanillekipferl biscuits are especially delicious.
