  1. The personal data subject to processing

We inform you that, due to your navigation on the website, the Data Controller will process personal data consisting of an identifier such as your name, an identification number, an online identifier, a postal address, an email address, a telephone number (landline and/or mobile), or one or more elements of your physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural, or social identity, capable of identifying or making the data subject identifiable (hereinafter referred to as “personal data”).

The personal data processed through the website are as follows:

  1. Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire some personal data during their normal operation, the transmission of which is implicit in the communication protocols of the Internet. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature, through processing and association with data held by third parties, it could allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users who connect to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.), and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment. These data are used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct functioning, to identify anomalies and/or abuses, and are deleted immediately after processing. The data may be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the website or third parties. Except for this possibility, the data on web contacts do not persist for more than a short period of time.

  1. Special categories of personal data

If you use our website to apply for a position (or send an email to us), it may result in the transmission of your personal data, which falls under the special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 of the Regulation, namely “[...] personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as [...] genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation.” Please do not disclose this data unless it is strictly necessary. We expressly inform you that the Data Controller, in relation to the transmission of special categories of personal data, but in the absence of an explicit consent to process such data (of course, you are allowed to send a resume), cannot be held responsible in any way, nor receive any claims of any kind, since in this case the processing is allowed as it relates to data that have been manifestly made public by the data subject, in accordance with Art. 9(1)e of the Regulation. However, we remind you of the importance of giving explicit consent to the processing of special categories of personal data, should you decide to share such information.

We also inform you that the Data Controller may analyze social profiles freely available on the Internet for professional purposes (e.g., LinkedIn) for the purpose of selecting candidates.

  1. Data voluntarily provided by the data subject

If you use certain services on the website (e.g., the request, contact, or reservation form), we may process personal data of third parties that you send to the data controller. In these cases, you act as an independent data controller, assuming all the legal obligations and responsibilities. In this sense, you grant us the broadest indemnity regarding any dispute, claim, request for compensation for damages from processing, etc., that may be received by the Data Controller from third parties whose personal data have been processed through your use of the website's services in violation of the applicable rules on the protection of personal data. If you provide or otherwise process personal data of third parties in the course of using the website, you guarantee from now on that this particular case of processing is based on an appropriate legal basis pursuant to Art. 6 of the Regulation, which legitimizes the processing of the information in question.

  1. Cookies

General information about cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on a client's computer hard drive through a website and with the help of the browser to store small amounts of information from the website for a certain period of time. Generally, there are various types of cookies. Some are essential for the website to function, such as navigation or shopping cart cookies. There are also so-called analytics cookies that collect information – for example, about the number of website visitors and the path of visitors to the website. Functional cookies allow the website to remember your choices (e.g., selected filter settings or automatic language presetting of a website).

Furthermore, there are cookies, known as profiling cookies, that capture user preferences and actions. Based on this information, a user profile is created. This is used to combine advertising messages with user interests, enabling more targeted advertising. Often, these are third-party cookies used by the website operator to broadcast personalized advertising.

Consent requirement for cookies

Website visitors must actively consent to the setting of cookies that are not essential for the functionality of the website and also have the right to withdraw their consent at any time.

This website uses a technology called CMP (Consent Management Platform) to manage this right. When accessing the website, a banner appears informing the user about the use of cookies, offering various consent options (agreeing to all cookies, individual categories of cookies, or each individual cookie separately) and providing detailed information about the various cookies. The CMP remembers the settings made by the website user and applies them on the next visit to the website. Here the website visitor can exercise the right of withdrawal or adjust the settings.

  1. Purpose of the processing

The processing we intend to carry out, with your specific consent where necessary, has the following purposes:

  1. To provide the services you requested
  2. To respond to customer service requests, information requests, or reservations
  3. To analyze resumes and contact applicants who have submitted their applications
  4. To comply with all legal, accounting, and tax obligations
  5. For marketing purposes: The provided data may be processed, after prior explicit and specific consent, for sending advertising and marketing communications, including newsletters and market research surveys, using automated (SMS, MMS, email, push notifications) and non-automated (postal, call center) systems. The legal basis for processing your data for these purposes is Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter a) of the Regulation. Consent to processing for direct marketing is optional and depends on your free choice, so the lack of consent for this purpose does not affect the use of the services.
  6. Legal basis and mandatory or optional nature of the processing

The legal basis for processing personal data for the purposes set out in section 3 (a-b-c) is Art. 6(1)(b) of the Regulation (contractual performance), as the processing is necessary for the provision of the services or for responding to requests from the data subject. The provision of personal data for these purposes is optional, but failure to provide them would make it impossible to activate the services provided by the website, process requests, or evaluate resumes. With specific reference to purpose 3.c and the related analysis of professional social media profiles freely available on the Internet as per section 2.b, Art. 6(1)(f) of the Regulation constitutes the legal basis for data processing, i.e., the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in verifying possible risks concerning the suitability of the candidate for the specific open position.

The purpose mentioned in section 3.d represents a lawful processing of personal data under Art. 6(1)(c) of the Regulation (compliance with a legal obligation). Once the personal data have been provided, processing is indeed necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which the Data Controller is subject.

The legal basis for processing for the purposes referred to in section 3.e is Art. 6(1)(a) of the Regulation (user consent).
The Data Controller may, without your consent, carry out processing for the same purposes, involving the direct sending of advertising material or direct sales or the performance of market research or commercial communications relating to products or services of the Data Controller, which are similar to those purchased, using email addresses and postal addresses in accordance with and within the limits permitted by Art. 130 paragraph 4 of the Privacy Code and the provision of the Data Protection Authority of 19 June 2008. The legal basis for processing your data for this purpose is Art. 6(1)(f) of the Regulation (legitimate interest).

  1. Recipients of personal data

Your personal data may be disclosed for the purposes set out in section 3 to:

  1. Subjects typically acting as data processors, i.e.: i) persons, companies, or professional firms providing assistance and advice to the Data Controller in accounting, administrative, legal, tax, financial, debt collection, marketing, and communication matters regarding the provision of services; ii) subjects with whom it is necessary to interact for the provision of services (e.g., hosting providers); iii) subjects entrusted with carrying out technical maintenance activities (including maintenance of network equipment and electronic communications networks) (collectively referred to as “Recipients”);
  2. Subjects, bodies, or authorities to whom your personal data must be disclosed by virtue of legal provisions or orders from authorities;
  3. Persons authorized by the Data Controller to process personal data necessary to carry out activities strictly related to the provision of services or for other purposes referred to in section 3, who are committed to confidentiality or have an appropriate legal obligation of confidentiality (e.g., employees of the Data Controller).
  4. Transfer of personal data

Some of your personal data are shared with Recipients who may be located outside the European Economic Area. The Data Controller ensures that the processing of your personal data by these Recipients is carried out in compliance with the Regulation. Indeed, transfers can be based on an adequacy decision, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or on another suitable legal basis. Further information is available from the Data Controller at the following address: office@hotelsinger.com.

  1. Storage of personal data

Personal data processed for the purposes set out in section 3(a-b) will be kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve those same purposes. As the processing is carried out for the provision of services, the Data Controller will keep personal data for the period allowed by Italian law to protect its interests (Art. 2946 ff. of the Civil Code). Regarding resumes sent via the website or by email as per section 3.c, personal data will be retained for a period deemed appropriate for the purpose for which the data were collected. This is without prejudice to the possibility for the Data Controller to contact the candidate shortly before the expiry of the aforementioned period to request an extension of this retention period.

Personal data processed for the purposes set out in section 3.d will be retained until the time required by the specific obligation or applicable law.

Personal data processed for the purposes referred to in sections 3.e will be retained until the data subject withdraws consent or, in the absence of such withdrawal, for a specific maximum period deemed appropriate.

Further information on the data retention period and the criteria used to determine this period can be obtained from the Data Controller at the following address: office@hotelsinger.com.

  1. Rights of data subjects

Pursuant to Articles 15 ff. of the Regulation, you have the right to request from the Data Controller, at any time, access to your personal data, to request their rectification or erasure, or to object to their processing. You have the right to request the restriction of processing in the cases provided for by Art. 18 of the Regulation, as well as to obtain the data concerning you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format in the cases provided for by Art. 20 of the Regulation.

Any request should be made in writing to the Data Controller at the following address: office@hotelsinger.com.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Data Protection Authority) pursuant to Art. 77 of the Regulation if you believe that the processing of your personal data is contrary to the law in force.

  1. Changes

d. Cookies General information about cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on a client's computer hard drive through a website and with the help of the browser to store small amounts of information from the website for a certain period of time. Generally, there are various types of cookies; these are divided into technical cookies and profiling cookies (cookies used for marketing and advertising purposes).

This website uses technical and profiling cookies. Below are the details.

Description of cookie types

Technical cookies are primarily relevant to the functionality of the website. These include navigation or session cookies, which allow for user-friendly navigation on the site. There are also so-called analytics cookies that collect information, for example, about the number of website visitors and the path of visitors to the site. The group of technical cookies also includes functional cookies, which allow the website to remember your choices (e.g., selected filter settings or automatic language presetting of a website).

Furthermore, there are cookies that capture user settings, preferences, and actions and create a user profile based on this information, known as profiling cookies. This is used to combine advertising messages with user interests, enabling more targeted advertising. Once you open a website that uses these cookies, a banner will appear informing the user that the site operator uses cookies for marketing purposes. It also informs the user that the site may allow third-party cookies. The banner is linked to a page with detailed information (where you are now) where the user can refuse the storage of cookies.

The banner offers the possibility of explicit user consent and indicates that further navigation on the site implies automatic consent to the use of cookies. Clicking on the more detailed information does not yet constitute consent. The banner does not disappear after a certain time but remains displayed until the user has either agreed, declined, or consciously continued to navigate. We are legally obliged to record and store the user's decision so that the banner does not appear again on the next visit to the website.

You can generally or selectively refuse the use of cookies. If you do not wish to accept our cookies, you can refuse them via your web browser or via the links provided. The corresponding function varies from browser to browser. Details can be found below. Please note that it may lead to functional restrictions if you do not accept cookies.

Below we show which technologies are used for what purpose, to what extent, and in what form on our pages. It may happen that so-called third-party cookies (cookies from other advertisers) are used. Further information is linked in the respective section. You can also explicitly block these third-party cookies in the settings of the respective browser.

Webtracking – Google Analytics:

To continuously improve and optimize our offer, we use so-called tracking technologies. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website for the purpose of determining the attractiveness of our websites and improving their performance and content. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and Internet usage to the website operator. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. In no case will your IP address be associated with other data from Google and/or other web analysis service providers.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

General information about Google Analytics and privacy can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and/or other web analysis services in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Webtracking – intelliAd:

This website also uses the web analysis service of intelliAd Media GmbH, Sendlinger Str. 7, 80331 Munich. For statistical purposes and to tailor the design and optimization of this website to meet demand, anonymized usage data is collected and aggregated. When using intelliAd tracking, cookies are stored locally. You can block the storage of your (anonymously collected) visitor data for the future. Use the intelliAd opt-out function for this purpose.

Use of Social Plugins

Social plugins are integrated on these websites using the so-called “2-click solution”. By default, these buttons do not transmit any data to third parties. By manually activating the user, they agree that data is transmitted to the respective operator of the social network and third-party cookies are installed. But only for this one page and for the selected service. Preferences regarding this can be saved and changed at any time via the “gear” icon.

If you activate the social plugins, please read the following explanations of how they work and what data is transmitted.

Privacy policy for the use of Facebook plugins (Like button)

Plugins of the social network Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025, USA) may be integrated on these websites. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like button" ("Like") on our page. An overview of the Facebook plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

As described above, the plugins are deactivated by default and no data is transmitted. Only after your explicit activation will the plugins be activated.

When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you use the plugin functions (e.g., clicking the “Like” button, leaving a comment) while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. If you are not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to find out and store your IP address. We point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. For more information, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

Use of the Google "+1" button

Our website uses the "+1" button of the social network Google Plus, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google"). The button is recognizable by the "+1" sign on a white or colored background. As described above, the plugins are deactivated by default and no data is transmitted. Only after your explicit activation will the plugins be activated.

With each call-up of a website of our website that is equipped with a "+1" button, the "+1" button causes the browser you are using to load and display the visual representation of the "+1" button from the Google server. In doing so, the Google server is informed which specific page of our website you are currently visiting. Google records your browsing history when displaying a "+1" button for a period of up to two weeks for system maintenance and troubleshooting purposes. A further evaluation of your visit to a website of our website with a "+1" button does not take place. If you press the "+1" button while logged into Google+ (Google Plus), Google captures information about the URL you recommend, your IP address, and other browser-related information via your Google profile so that your "+1" recommendation can be stored and made publicly accessible. Your "+1" recommendations can be displayed as notes along with your profile name and photo in Google services, such as in search results or in your Google profile (as a "+1" tab in your Google profile), or at other places on websites and ads on the Internet. For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by Google, as well as your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Google's privacy notices regarding the "+1" button:
